Reading
back through my case history notes, I was struck by the number of female
clients who have had at least one abortion. The figure is about 90% .
What is more striking is the pattern of how that experience actually affects
their lives. Whether or not they come to terms with their actions psychologically
or emotionally, the body still holds on to memories which do have a sabotaging
effect. These memories are lodged in what I call the bodymind. It is quite
alarming just how much these bodymind memories do block personal development,
in all aspects of their lives.
And... It is interesting to note that the males, who can easily disassociate
themselves from the abortion, often carry the same deep-levels of self-judgment,
and are therefore subject to the same negative programming.
When
I ask about the abortion, and how they feel about it, they usually respond
with confidence that they have resolved the issues, and that they are
clear about it. But, the body speaks differently. It is important to realize
that when you conceive, your body activates a whole series of programs
that dramatically change your hormonal balance, metabolism, energies,
etc. When the pregnancy is terminated, your body is thrown into total
confusion, which can take months to straighten out. Sometimes it takes
the full nine months, or more, for your body to get back onto what would
be a reasonably normal cycle. This is quite a shock to the system, and
can have long term repercussions.
Another aspect is the internal conversations you may have about whether
you did the right thing or not. The little thoughts of what happened to
the person who might have been. Twinges of shame, guilt and remorse. Could
you, or should you have taken a different course of action? Will you be
punished? Will you be able to have another child? Will it be normal? Will
the next child be the re-incarnation of the aborted one? You know how
the script goes for you.
It is one thing to terminate a pregnancy, but quite another to sabotage
your own life. Guilt has no value in your life. Whatever about the morality
of the action of terminating a pregnancy, unconscious self-destruction
or deprivation does nothing for anyone. I have had many people come and
tell me that they have worked with forgiveness and affirmations, but still
carry the shame and the guilt in their bodies. Those processes are all
very well, but tend to work more with the mental aspects, rather than
the energetic fields and information systems that actually effect who,
and how you are.
Abortion is usually a conscious decision. But, unwanted pregnancies, miscarriages,
sexual abuse, and many other experiences relating to the female reproductive
system, tend to fall into a different category. You most likely would
not have consciously chosen them. Never the less, they also carry similar
charges of shame, guilt, or loss, with derogatory effects on your self-esteem,
health, spirituality, creativity, prosperity and general aliveness. All
of these, and many other experiences tend to cause a shrinking back to
a small place, withdrawing from the mainstream of life.
The good news is that this can be turned around. By addressing these issues
in the bodymind, and putting them to rest, you will no longer be under
their control. By using the very specific healing techniques of vibrational
medicine and quantum physics, as in Bodymind Transformation, you can be
released from the programs that prevent you from really living.
